This beautiful necklace features a very rare 'old stock' Russian emerald. These emeralds are exceptionally rare and hardly ever make it to the open market.
This is a very large 12.23 carat emerald fully certified by GIA confirming stone as natural and Russian origin. With only 'moderate' oil treatment. A very common treatment carried out on nearly all natural emeralds.
This emerald also has an excellent oval cut and very good clarity. Some small natural inclusions visible when looking closely, as to be expected with any natural emerald of this size. No breaks or cracks and very clean for an emerald of this large size.
The emerald is set in a bespoke made, modern-style high jewellery pendant mount. Surrounded by approx 1 carat of natural round brilliant cut diamonds of varying sizes. These diamonds are of excellent quality. VS clarity, D-F colour and all an excellent cut.
These are all expertly set and the piece is beautifully finished with a mirror polish throughout.
