Very rare vintage VCA ring set with a large oval blue star sapphire measuring XXmm. Approx. 10 carats in size.

A fine Ceylon sapphire of large size with a sharp six ray star when viewed under a spotlight.
We have taken photos in many different lights to show the ring in the most accurate way possible. Including with a strong spotlight to show the true quality of the star in this stone.
The ring is in very good condition given its age and has been professionally polished and cleaned (while trying to preserve the VCA hallmarks and signature) There are only light marks on the gold and some small marks on the sapphire, as to be expected on a piece of this age. All shown in the photos.
The sapphire is securely bezel rubover set with a beautiful star engraving at the back of the setting, a nod to the rare and unique stone they have set into this ring. True quality workmanship typical of Van Cleef & Arpels.
The ring is signed VCA with serial numbers. Although slightly faded they can still be seen and are 100% original.
